कानपुर देहात में हुई घटना को आतंकवाद के रूप में मानना बिल्कुल सही है,और इस घटनाक्रम से एक शब्द का प्रयोग "ब्रह्मआंतक" कितना सही है या ग़लत इसको हिन्दू समाज को सोचने की जरूरत है, क्योंकि किसी एक मुस्लिम के गलत आचरण के कारण उसके पूरे समुदाय पर लांछन लगाना कितना गलत है इसका आभास आज किसी न किसी रूप में हिन्दू वर्ग पर गिरा है,।
 इस मुदभेड़ में शहिद हुए उत्तर प्रदेश के पुलिस के जवानों कि जाती का उल्लेख करना सही तो नहीं लेकिन इसमें हिन्दू वर्ग  के उस वर्ग के शहिद जवान भी शामिल है, जिसके लिए ब्रह्मआंतक का उल्लेख हो रहा है।
इस घटना से एक बात अवश्य ही लोगों को जान लेना चाहिए कि आंतवाद किसी जाति विशेष कि सामाग्री नहीं है किसी भी वर्ग से पनप सकता है, तथा ये उस वर्ग समाज के आचार्य पर निर्भर करता है।
